Congratulations Cathedral Class of 2024!

The Class of 2024 completed their journey at Cathedral this past Friday, officially becoming Cathedral School alumni! The day began with the 8th Grade Breakfast and Bookplate Ceremony in the Common, Dining, and Morningside Rooms. Students, families, faculty, and staff gathered for a wonderful breakfast and then Bookplates were presented to each student by a faculty member after a brief speech about their time at Cathedral and the positive impact they’ve had on those around them in their time on the Close. Following breakfast, 8th graders and guests made their way over to the Cathedral for official Commencement exercises. Will Gilyard, former faculty member and Upper School Division Head at The Cathedral School, and current Dean of Students at Choate Rosemary Hall, spoke to the Class of 2024 as the Graduation Speaker, sharing his story and offering the 8th grade guidance as they move on to their newest chapter. Each student received their Cathedral diploma, proceeded out of the Cathedral to the front steps for photos, and ended the day with refreshments on the Nelson Green.
